About Me and Articles
My Biography
My name is Wil Keltjens, and I work
with Paverpol since it came on the
market in The Netherlands, 11 years
ago. Shortly after that me and my family
moved to the US, and I waited 5 years
until there was an importer. From that
time on I started working with this great
product and I became one of Paverpol
USA first 3 CPI’s (Certified Paverpol
Instructor).
Currently I live in Saratoga Springs NY,
where I still teach all kinds of projects
with Paverpol in my home studio. I’m
also a PPT (Professional Paverpol
Trainer). This means that I can train
people to get their CPI certification and
supply them this product at a discount.
Working with Paverpol for me is the Art
of Recycling since students have to
bring an old t-shirt to the class/project
and go home with a tailor-made piece of
art.

To create my sculptures I get inspired
by people around me and my statues
are typical a combination of expression,
stance, shape, texture , accessories
and color. Many of the materials (yarn,
rope, rags) are marked by the ravages
of time. Dipped in Paverpol and
wrapped, draped and dried they
become a work of beauty.
Although I sometimes get orders for 20
pieces, no two pieces are the same!
Class schedule is on my website or on
request. Since I started to teach with this
medium I had over 300 students.
Some did and do multiple classes. I
trained 17 CPI’s (in Florida, Canada
and New York) and I typically exhibit at
5-8 juried art shows every year.
In 2006 I won the 2nd prize in category
sculpting “ART IN THE PARK”
Plantation Florida. In 2008 I was in an
exhibition in Pen & Brush Gallery in NY
city and won a Jury award in my class.
In 2009 I won a blue ribbon FINE ART
AWARD in “ART IN THE PARK” in
Saratoga Springs.
